PREP classes: Be on the alert for a chance to win a donut party next week! Latin club is collecting school supplies for Liberty Elementary. The PREP group that contributes the most items between September 19-22, will be rewarded with dozens of donuts. We need pencils and pencil grips, cap erasers, dry erase markers and regular markers, composition books, crayons, highlighters, two pocket folders, and Ziploc bags of all sizes. Your teachers have more details in their email.
Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, and celebrates all U.S. citizens. Take a moment to stop by the Media Center and test your knowledge of the Constitution.
On Monday, September 19, there will be a Financial Aid Night held at 7:00 pm in the LHS Auditorium. Seniors planning to apply to college should plan to attend this event with a parent to get the most up to date information on recent changes with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, otherwise known as the FAFSA. Financial Aid experts from Hood College will be on hand to present new information regarding the FAFSA and to answer questions, as only experts can. Please plan to attend this important event as you navigate your way through the college application process!
Congratulations to the following “STAR” students! They are each being recognized for demonstrating excellence in Academics, Accountability, or Attitude: Cooper Fabry, Tyson Tregoning, Mary Donaldson, Suscha Campbell, Chasity Everly, Shelby Tkacik and Lincoln Robisch.

Students, as you attend events at LHS, please keep the following in mind:
- Students are not permitted to carry book bags into the stadium and should be wearing shirts at entry;
- Students must refrain from jumping up and down on the bleacher seating;
- Re-entry is not allowed. If you leave the stadium you will not be permitted back into the game;
- Footballs, soccer balls, and other athletic equipment is not permitted in the stadium and will be confiscated by staff;
- Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students;
- Gates open tonight at 5:30 pm.
The field hockey team took on Urbana last night and won 2-1.
The boys’ soccer team also played Urbana, and took a loss of 8-0. Girls’ volleyball also lost, 3-0, at Urbana.
The girls’ JV and Varsity soccer teams will take on Urbana at Urbana today. The JV game starts at 5:30 pm and the Varsity game begins at 7:00 pm.
The Varsity football team will be playing Middletown tonight at home. The game starts at 7:00 pm.
