Any student who is interested in applying for Mu Alpha Theta (Linganore’s National Mathematics Honor Society) should pick up an application outside of room A140. Applications are due Friday, September 9th. Please see Mrs. Purgason with any questions.

There will be a 10th grade class assembly with Josten’s this Friday during PREP to go over your different class ring choices.  They will distribute materials for you to review and will return September 12th and 13^th to pick up your orders.  Payment is not expected at this time.

Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) will hold their first meeting on Wednesday, September 14th.  This club is open to all high school girls interested in STEM.  No registration is necessary and students just show up when available. The club meets on Wednesday evenings at the Earth and Space Science Lab from 7:00-8:15 pm.

Today is the National Art Honor Society meeting after school at 2:30 pm in room A 211. All members, and anyone interested in joining, should attend. Students must have four art credits by the end of their senior year to be eligible.

Students are encouraged to log on to Naviance and check out your college visit options and scholarship information that is available. There is new information being posted daily.  Please visit your Naviance account regularly to review the opportunities available.  Check out this valuable information!  It is yours for the taking. If you have additional questions, see your guidance counselor.

Any former, present, or future German student who is interested in touring Germany this June, should stop by Ms. Freimuth’s room (C225) to get more information.

As a reminder, the marching band practices in the front student parking lot TONIGHT.  Please make sure all vehicles have been moved from the student lot by 4:30 pm.

Any junior or senior interested in joining the LHS Science National Honor Society must pick up an application outside of Mr. Sunkel’s room A139.
