Attention all students: Your help is needed! Linganore’s goal for the year is to average 96% attendance. As of the end of February, we are at 94.68%, which puts us just behind some of our neighboring high schools, and fourth amongst all FCPS high schools. We need you to come to school. Every Day! Let’s get our school to the top of the attendance list.
Please join Ms. Aburto for our annual Character Counts celebration this Thursday and Friday during all lunch shifts. Students and staff are invited to sign a character trait that reflects themselves or sign one for a friend! Character Counts bracelets and treats will be given to all who participate.
Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be given the first two weeks of May. All students taking AP exams must be registered no later than Friday, March 18th. Two exam registration periods have ended and this is the last opportunity to register for an exam. Extra exam registration materials are available from Ms. Smith in the Assistant Principal’s office. AP exam rosters will be posted on Main Street on Tuesday, March 29th. Students should verify that their registration has been recorded for each exam requested. Any errors in the exam rosters should be reported to Ms. Smith in the Assistant Principal’s office no later than Wednesday, March 30th. Please contact Ms. Smith or Mr. Keller with any questions.
Today, the health room will be hosting an event called National KICK BUTT DAY during all lunch shifts. It is a National Day that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco companies. There will be a table at each lunch shift. Students and staff: Please come by the table and see what it’s all about and support being Tobacco and Nicotine Free! Come be a part of Kick Butt Day. Come tell your reason why you have chosen to be Tobacco/Nicotine Free!
