Don’t forget to drive a Ford this Sunday, April 24th, for Safe and Sane. For every valid test drive completed, Ford donates $20 to the participating high school or nonprofit, up to $6,000.
The LHS 26th Annual Art Show was a success last night! The artwork will be on display through third block today.
This is it! It’s the last weekend to see “The Sound of Music”. The show received rave reviews last weekend. There are only two more performances: Saturday, April 23rd, at 7:00 pm and Sunday, April 24th, at 2:00 pm. Tickets are going fast! Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
Seniors: Several local scholarships have deadlines in the next week. The Community Foundation of Frederick County has many $1000 scholarships, and the deadline is April 30th. The Rotary Club of Mt. Airy offers a $1500 per year renewable scholarship. The deadline is May 1st. Log onto Naviance to get more information about applying for these important scholarships.
To all German, French, and Spanish Honor Society members and new inductees: The induction will now take place at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 27th, instead of at 6:30 pm. Those setting up should be at school at 5:30 pm and current members should arrive by 5:45 pm. Contact your honor society officers if you have any questions.
Today is the last day that you can buy prom tickets. If you would like to go to prom this year, make sure you buy them today at lunch.

Sign-ups for this year’s Quidditch tournament will begin on Monday, April 25th. Sign up your team of 7 to 9 players in the library. The tournament will be held after school on Tuesday, May 17th, next to the softball field. We will host a maximum of 12 teams, first-come, first-served. If you have any questions, ask Corinne DeFrancisci, Marissa Maze, or Ms. Thompson.
The girls’ JV lacrosse team tied with Urbana 7-7
The girls’ Varsity lacrosse team beat Urbana last night. Way to go, Lancers!
Good luck to Varsity baseball, Varsity softball, and boys’ and girls’ tennis as they face Hagerstown tonight!
