Juniors and seniors: Prom tickets are on sale today through Friday. Tickets are $35. Non-LHS guests need a guest form. Please pick up non-LHS guest forms and limo coupons outside of Mrs. Hirschy’s room C126. All financial obligations must be paid before you can purchase tickets. In order to attend prom, students are expected to be at school for a full day the Friday before.
Don’t forget to drive a Ford this Sunday, April 24th. For every valid test drive completed, Ford donates $20 to the participating high school or nonprofit, up to $6,000.
The LHS 26th Annual Art show will be held April 21st, in the Auxiliary Gym and will be open to parents and the public from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. The NAHS Induction Ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm. Come see hundreds of original artworks created by students in all levels of art classes. There will also be a silent auction to raise money for the NAHS Scholarship Fund. Artwork will be on display through third block on Friday April 22nd.
Jersey Mike’s is giving 15% of the proceeds to Linganore’s prom. Just go to the Jersey Mike’s in Mount Airy or Frederick and mention Linganore.
And now for sports related news…
Come join the Linganore National Honor Society as they take on the Oakdale National Honor Society in the Annual NHS Charity Basketball Game tonight at 6:00 pm. The cost is $2 and it is at Oakdale. All proceeds benefit the Samaritan Women’s Shelter of Baltimore.
Sign-ups for this year’s Quidditch tournament will begin on Monday, April 25th. Sign up your team of 7 to 9 players in the library. The tournament will be held after school on May 17th, next to the softball field. We will host a maximum of 12 teams, first-come, first-served. If you have any questions, ask Corinne DeFrancisci, Marissa Maze, or Ms. Thompson.
The boys’ Varsity lacrosse team won their game against Walkersville with a score of 14-1.
The girls’ JV and Varsity lacrosse lost both of their games to Walkersville by just 1 point. Get them next time Lancers.
Good luck to the Varsity baseball and softball teams as they travel to Tuscarora tonight.
Another good luck to the girls’ and boys’ tennis teams for their games at home against Tuscarora.
