At Green Valley Elementary and in polling places throughout Maryland, people were voting for their party’s nominees.

Stuart Harvey, Election Director in Frederick County has been working at his job since 2002.  He explained that this is the first year the polling places were using a mix of paper ballots with electronic submission.

Bobby Rolestrow, an election volunteer, has been volunteering 20 years.  He says they usually have a lot more people that vote, but this year there wasn’t much voter turnout (in Green Valley). He said there were about 350 voters by 4:00 p.m.

There were no significant problems.

Primary Results For the Republicans, Donald Trump won all five primary states (Maryland, Connecticut, Pennsylania, Delaware and Rhode Island).  Democrat Hillary Clinton won four of the five states. She lost in was Rhode Island which went to Bernie Sanders.
