When you hear the name Jack DuBro, many things come to mind.  Whether it’s Class of 2018 President, track star, stellar student, Clemson’s number one fan, or the guy who brightens everyone’s day, Jack DuBro is a name known throughout the Linganore community.

Alex Perre, junior said, ” Jack is always cheerful and brightens up every room he walks in.”

During the course of the 2015-2016 school year, DuBro added several accomplishments to his “resumé” including earning yet another varsity track letter–due to his impressive time in the 100 meter dash, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and  being elected Class of 2018 President.

Jack DuBro has participated in both indoor and outdoor track both his freshman and sophomore year.  As a sprinter, DuBro focuses his time on the 100 and 200 meter dash.  However, this season DuBro took a liking to the 100 in specific.  Concentrating on the 100 meter dash and 100 relay alone, DuBro was able to break 12 seconds this season, making him the fastest 100 meter runner on the team with a time of 11.73 seconds.

DuBro’s hard work continued proving to be beneficial, as it helped him earn both the position of Class of 2018 President, as well as maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout his freshman and sophomore year.

As President, DuBro has big plans to positively impact the Lancer Community.  One of his main goals is to hold fundraisers in efforts to improve prom.  DuBro’s ability to lead others has benefited him and his peers not only in his position as president, but also on the volleyball court.

When DuBro isn’t breaking PRs or leading his classmates, DuBro enjoys playing volleyball.  He is currently in team sports volleyball.Through his positive demeanor, DuBro has contributed to his team’s successes by encouraging his teammates during his class.

DuBro recognized his volleyball teacher, Ms. Ferguson, as his favorite teacher.  DuBro commended Ms. Ferguson for all of the life lessons she has taught him while being in her class.  The respect between the two is mutual, as Ms. Ferguson respects Jack’s positivity demonstrated in her class..

DuBro is also known for his overwhelming love for anything orange and purple.  As Clemson’s “number one fan”, it was only expected that DuBro would name his new puppy, Dabo, after Clemson’s head football coach, Dabo Swinney.

Many people recognize DuBro for his outgoing, cheerful mood everyday. Tommy Moyer said,”Jack is always happy and doing hard work.”
