The “Character Counts Springs Into LHS” event was a huge success. Thank you to all students and staff who came out to celebrate great character at Linganore.

Don’t forget to drive a Ford this Sunday, April 24th, for Safe and Sane. For every valid test drive completed, Ford donates $20 to the participating high school or nonprofit, up to $6,000.

The LHS 26th Annual Art show will be held today in the Auxiliary Gym and will be open to parents and the public from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. The NAHS Induction Ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm. Come see hundreds of original works of art created by students in all levels of art classes. There will also be a silent auction to raise money for the NAHS Scholarship Fund. Artwork will be on display through third block tomorrow.

Students: If you have made honor roll or have no more than one absence during term 3, be sure to bring your report card to lunch with you, so you can receive cookies in recognition of your achievements.

This is it! It’s the last weekend to see “The Sound of Music”. We received rave reviews last weekend. Just two more performances are left. Saturday, April 23rd, at 7:00 pm and Sunday, April 24th, at 2:00 pm. Tickets are going fast! Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door

And now for sports related news…

Sign-ups for this year’s Quidditch tournament will begin on Monday, April 25th. Sign up your team of 7 to 9 players in the library. The tournament will be held after school on Tuesday, May 17th, next to the softball field. We will host a maximum of 12 teams, first-come, first-served. If you have any questions, ask Corinne DeFrancisci, Marissa Maze, or Ms. Thompson.

Varsity baseball won their game against Tuscarora with a score of 5-3.

The Varsity softball team beat Tuscarora 14-1. Great job, Lancers!

The Varsity boys’ tennis team won their game against Tuscarora; however, the girls’ tennis team lost.

Good luck to the girls’ JV and Varsity lacrosse teams as they travel to Urbana tonight.
