A valiant effort was made by the boys varsity soccer team against South Carroll on September 10th. Unfortunately, the boys did not emerge victorious with a score of 2-0, South Carroll.

Early in the match South Carroll managed to score 2 goals off of the Lancers. The Lancers rebounded and fiercely defend the goal preventing South Carroll from scoring again.

However, the Lancers faced difficulty with advancing the ball into the opponent’s end to create scoring opportunities. Towards the end of the game, the Lancers peaked, and many attempts on goal were made that were ultimately rejected.

Fortunately, this is only the beginning of the season. There is still plenty of time for the boys varsity soccer team to develop a strategy that will lead them to success.  The next varsity game is Wednesday, September 18.
