The Junior Class is having a fundraiser at both Jersey Mike’s locations in Mt. Airy and Frederick today, tomorrow and Sunday from 10am to 9pm. Make sure to bring a flyer or mention the fundraiser.
The Acting II and Advanced Acting Showcase is tonight in the theatre at 7:00pm. The showcase is free; however, the Drama department asks that you bring a canned good to donate to the food bank. Come and support our student actors and see what they have been working on for the last semester.
Three Linganore High School students will compete in the Maryland State Solo and Ensemble Festival at Towson University on Saturday. Michael Fraumeni Ryan Reibman and Nick Belski all earned superior ratings at the county festival, which earned them the opportunity to compete at the state level. Good luck to these terrific Lancer musicians!
SGA is having a fundraiser at California Tortilla in Mt Airy on Tuesday May 19th from 5-10pm. The money will go towards the Every 15 minutes event held last month so make sure to come out and support them.
Band members,the first rehearsal for Graduation Band, which includes all Symphonic Band students, will be held on Tuesday, May 19 from 2:45-4:30 pm. The first fall marching band rehearsal for musicians and color guard will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 5:30-8:00 pm. Senior band members should return any outstanding uniforms, school instruments, and method books as soon as possible.
Anyone interested in going on a trip to Germany during the summer of 2016 should see Ms. Freimuth in C225.
Varsity softball beat Damascus yesterday 13-0 in the second round of playoffs. Awesome job ladies! The team will move on to state-semi finals next Tuesday.
Andrew Tran and Harry Rasmussen will compete in the Regional Tennis Tournament today at Baker Park. Good Luck Lancers!
Congratulations to the girls and boys track team for their great performances in the regional championship meet at urbana yesterday. Bailey Tregoning won the 800m run and high jump. Trey Simpson placed 3rd in discus. Riley Mack, Micah Hewitson, Shane Fosset, and Clay Buckman placed 4th in the 4x8m relay. And Adam Beiser won the 300m hurdles, 110m hurdles and placed in triple jump and long jump. These athletes will move on to the state meet next weekend. Awesome job lancers!
