Nominations are requested for American Legion Boys State and American Legion Auxiliary Girls State. Only juniors can be considered for this premier program that teaches students how government works, while developing leadership skills and an appreciation for your rights as a citizen. This program runs June 21 – 26, 2015. Boys State will be held at McDaniel College and Girls State will be held at Salisbury University. If you are interested in attending this all expenses paid camp see Ms. Emery in Student Services no later than, Friday, February 13.
There will be a Safe and Sane fundraiser at the Mt. Airy Greene Turtle this evening between 4 pm and closing. Please be sure to bring a flyer and present it to your server.
If you are interested in participating in the World Scholar’s Cup, please attend the MANDATORY meeting this afternoon in room A221 at 2:30. Teams will be created and materials will be distributed via the Google Drive, so be there if you want to participate. There will also be a short meeting tomorrow to meet an organizer of the World Scholar’s Cup who is flying to Frederick from Abu Dhabi. See Mr. Roberts for more information.
Students are reminded to turn in their registration forms tomorrow. Congratulations to the Class of 2016 for turning the most forms on Tuesday with the Class of 2017 just one behind.
Registration forms can be turned into school counselors at lunch or stop by Student Services before school, between classes or after school.
If you like taking pictures, writing, are organized and creative, then publications is the class for you! This class creates the LHS yearbook.

Last night our boys basketball teams faced Tuscarora. The JV team won by 3 points, while varsity lost by 4 points. Good luck to both teams tonight as they take on Thomas Johnson here at home. JV begins at 5 and varsity at 730.
Congratulations to both girls basketball teams for defeating Tuscarora last night! Keep it up ladies.
