On February 7, the Linganore Pom and Dance Team traveled to North Point High School in Waldorf, Maryland to dance in their first competition of the season.  Led by Coach Michelle Richardson and captains Abigail Montgomery, Jenn Berardi and Harper Lindsay, the team debuted three of their six total competition dances in the Short Pom, Lyrical, and Hip Hop categories.

At awards, the team placed first in all of their dances, qualifying the girls for the opportunity to compete each dance at the MAPDA State Championship. All three captains also received awards, with Abigail Montgomery winning first for short pom captain, Jenn Berardi winning third for hip hop captain, and Harper Lindsay winning first for lyrical captain.  Finally, to top off the team’s success, LHS received the overall highest score of the competition, between both Divisions I and II.
