Sports teams compete in life-sized Hungry Hungry Hippo.

On the 19th of November, we cheered on our girls varsity soccer team with a pep rally. At 5 p.m. they will be competing at Loyola University against Bel Air High School for the state championship.

To start the pep rally off, the concert choir  performed the “Star Spangled Banner” for the first time at a pep rally.

During the pep rally, we recognized  other successful teams.

Then, two people from each sports team came down to the middle of gym and represented their sport in a game of life-sized Hungry Hungry Hippo. In the center of the circle of representatives, there was a pile of tennis balls. One person laid down on a scooter board and held a basket (imitating the hippo in the game), while the other person moved them by their feet. The goal of the game was to get the most balls into your basket. The boys basketball, represented by Thomas Lang and Tyler Fleagle, team was victorious.

To give our girls soccer team more support, go to the game dressed in black!
