On February 14th select members of the LHS band were invited to play with the WVU honors band at West Virginia University in Morgantown.

The students were divided into three groups to play their music. They were each a different level of difficulty, and each was conducted by a professional from West Virginia, Tennessee, or Pennyslvania.

Flute player and sophomore, Frannie Davis said,  “It was a really fun experience, and it was fun to be challenged. The staff and the students were very nice and performing a concert after only two days of knowing the music was amazing.”

The Marching band will perform next on St Patrick’s Day in New York City. this will be broadcast on television. To find out more information on the band and their other performances you can go to the band’s website.
