Saturday, October 24, 2015,  both the varsity and JV cheer squads both earned second place at an invitational competition at Perry Hall High School. Also JV won first place in stunting and pyramid while varsity won first place in tumbling.

The event raised money to  support of the fight against breast cancer.

The competition had teams from area Maryland high schools. Linganore and Oakdale represented Frederick County.

JV cheer coach Terri Schurg said, “I was so proud of these girls as they have worked so hard. They were up against some pretty tough schools, so taking second place was awesome. And taking first place in stunting and pyramid was so well deserved.”
