June 9, 2015
The Lance interviewed Madame Dragana Blonder as a part of the 54 Questions feature. Madame Blonder is the only French teacher and teaches from French 1 to AP French.
Madame Blonder is fluent in three languages French, English and her native language Croatian. She was born and raised in Croatia, learned French in high school and college and loves to travel the world. From childhood on she has always aspired to be a teacher, and she adores working with teens. Madame Blonder has been working at Linganore for 13 years, but she’s been a teacher for over 30 years.
To succeed in her class Blonder says, “You must work with passion and love what you’re doing.”
Why do you need to know Madame Blonder?
French class could be an essential elective for freshmen to take because most students are required to take two language classes. Students could also take German, Latin or Spanish. Language classes include lessons on grammar and the culture of those countries.
Madame Blonder’s favorite part of teaching is, “Seeing young people becoming mature and taking responsibilities, and learning.”
