Tomorrow is election day 2014! On Wednesday, all students in grades 9-11 will have the chance to vote for student leaders for the next school year. Check out the displays on Main Street for more details and tune in to the announcements on Wednesday morning for candidate statements. This year’s candidates are:
- For the 2017 Class Council: President, Harry Rasmussen; Vice President, Jac Medve; Secretary, Catharine Dietrich; Secretary, Lexi Watson; Treasurer, Tyson Tregoning; Treasurer, Miranda Timberlake; and Historian, Gina DeFrancisci.
- For the 2016 Class Council: President, Matt DeMember; Vice President, Noah Ismael; Secretary, Jacob Butehorn; and Treasurer, Elizabeth Coletti.
- For the 2015 Class Council: President, Alli Hammersla; Vice President, Emma Jarvis; Vice President, Katherine Zhou; Secretary, Bailey Tregoning; and Historian, Riley Bruning.
- For the SGA; President, Kyle Johnson; President, Joe Slattery; 1st Vice President, Amy Safsten; 1st Vice President, Matt Watson; 2nd Vice President, Hank Beiter; and Treasurer, Ryan Gilmartin.

As many of you know, the national Day of Silence is this Friday, April 11th. If you wish to participate in this silent and peaceful protest, make sure to get a participation slip for your teachers to sign from Mrs. Dillon in Room B123 and return it to her by the end of the day today.
Attention all AP Political Science students: review after school is canceled for today.
The unified track and field team will have a tune up practice today from 2:30-3:15pm in preparation for Friday’s track and field meet. Team members should report to the stadium.
Anchor 2: The Linganore Pom and Dance Team will be hosting tryouts for the 2014-2015 School year April 22nd-26th. For additional information please see Mrs. Richardson in room A219.
Juniors, there will be a College Information Night tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the Linganore Media Center. It is a great chance to learn all you need to know about preparing for life after high school.
Prom tickets are on sale for one more day during all lunch shifts, TOMORROW April 9th. Available prom tickets will be $40 per ticket. See Mr. Brown at lunch on Wednesday if you didn’t get your tickets yet.
Remember to clear any obligations you may have with any teacher in order to attend prom.

Come out to the National Art Honor Society’s art show this Thursday, April 10th, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm in the auxiliary gym. Art is important to LHS students, so come out to support them and their creativity!
