At lunch there will be Representatives from the Board of Election as well as the League of Women’s Voters. Students who are at least 16 may register; you must be 18 as of November 4 to vote. Registrants will need their driver’s license or permit – if you don’t have a license you will need your social security number to register. So make sure to register, whether it is at lunch or on your own time. To students at least 17 years old, there are paid positions available for those who would like to volunteer at the polls as Election Judge in June and November.

This is just a reminder that students applying for membership in the Science National Honor Society must complete their science-related community service hours sheet by March 31
For those students planning to work at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary on Saturday, please carpool if possible and wear heavy work shoes due to the soft and muddy ground. Students are requested to carpool and park behind the woodchip pile near the entrance of the sanctuary. The workday will take place from 11-4 p.m.
Come out and support the LHS Pom and Dance team this Sunday, March 23, when they host a Country Breakfast with the New Market Fire Department. Breakfast will be served from 7 AM to 12 PM at the New Market Fire Department at 76 West Main Street in New Market. Breakfast favorites such as Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, Ham and Fried Potatoes will be served. Adults are $8, Seniors are $5, and Kids 10 and under eat free. A percentage of the proceeds will go to support the LHS Pom and Dance team. Future dates include April 27 and May 11.
