Today is October 22 – Well-dressed Wednesday!

Seniors, Superlative voting forms are due TODAY by the end of day. Please put them in the yearbook inbox outside room A206.

Next TUESDAY, Linganore High School will join schools all over the nation for MIX IT UP DAY in the CAFETERIA! It’s a chance to meet new people, make new friends, and celebrate our diversity by sitting someplace new for one day.

Here’s how it works…  When you enter the cafeteria you’ll be given a LIFESAVER candy at the door.  All you have to do is sit at one of the tables that matches the color.  It’s that simple. You’ll find a fun ice-breaker game at each table.

Remember – Mix it Up Day is NEXT TUESDAY!

The engineering/robotics team will have a meeting today right after school until 4:30 in Mr. Bergeron’s room.

Underclassmen who wish to do picture retakes will be able to do so today! Look for postings by the front office.

The Red Cross Blood Drive is TODAY! They need your help, numbers are VERY low. So, if you are 16 or older, please sign-up to give blood and save up to 3 lives! You also get a cool t-shirt just for donating. Please see Mr. Brown to pick a time to donate and get your paperwork. Give the gift of life and donate.

The Celebrate My Drive campaign continues until Friday. Commit every day this week to drive safely. Just go to celebratemydrive.com to help our school possibly win $100,000. We are in the top half of schools and need every vote to help us move up the rankings.

Spirit week continues all week. Tomorrow is Class Color Day!  Freshman are red, sophomores are blue, juniors yellow and seniors tie dye!

Class competitions will continue today at lunch to see who has the most spirit .See Mr. Brown at the start of your lunch shifts if you would like to compete for your class. Today’s game is the Can Shoot.

Any students wishing to take part in a quiet study hall during the Pep Rally on Friday must sign up in the Media Center by 2:15 tomorrow. This will be a quiet study environment only. Computers will not be available for use.

Now for our German fact of the day! Although the concept of Kindergarten was invented in Germany, German children are not required to attend. Kindergarten in Germany is not an official part of the country-wide educational system.
