The SGA needs your help to help make the holidays happy for families in our community. If your class, club, team, or group is interested in helping, please email the SGA. The expectation would be to collect money around ($75-$100) or the items for a family member on the list. You can use the money collected to purchase items on the list or if you wish to simply collect the funds, the SGA students are pleased to do the shopping.

Juniors, Applications for the internships at the National Cancer Institute at Ft. Detrick are due today! These are the internships that begin this summer and continue for 12 months. Applications for the summer volunteer program at the National Aquarium in Baltimore are due this Friday, December 5. If you have any questions about these two opportunities, see Ms. Radil-Harris in C103 today.

Members of the Science National Honor Society who have volunteered to work Thursday, December 4th at the Earth Space Science Laboratory in Frederick are reminded to arrive by 4:30 p.m. and plan to work until 8:00 pm.  Members are also reminded of the volunteer community service opportunity this Saturday, December 6, from 9 am – 12 pm at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary. Students are reminded to bring work gloves and tools.

Lancer Candy Lane is coming up! The event runs 9:00am-3:00pm on Dec. 13.

Volunteers/Students should arrive 8:15-8:30. They should be done about 3:15-3:30.The Prather family is still looking for students to help with the Secret Holiday Shop, Foam Ornaments, Picture Frames, and Cookie Decorating. Please email them at [email protected] if interested.

Linganore High School presents a Holiday Concert featuring the Guitar Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Concert Band and Merry TubaChristmas on Thursday, December 4, @ 7:00 pm in the LHS theatre. Tickets are $5 at the box office, FCPS employees, seniors 65+ and children 5 and under are free! Make sure to come see the show!

All boys interested in trying out for boys lacrosse this spring. There will be a preseason informational meeting for boys lax after school in the media center Monday, December 8.
