Placing #1 nationwide, FCPS students on the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering team, otherwise known as ACE,  racked up the county’s third national win! This year’s win capped a day in which the students traveled by limousine to the eighth annual Construction Industry Round Table  Design Competition, held in Washington, DC. The team won with its unique Aging in Place project, entered in the Universal Design Home Retro-Fit category. On this year’s winning team from the competition were many students from other FCPS schools along with our very own Chris DeFrancisci and Joe Dirndorfer. Congrats, guys!

In addition, students who are interested in auditioning for a Drum Major position for next year’s marching band should sign up in the band room by tomorrow, May 9.

It is time for the MSDE Graduation Survey on Thursday, May 15th during first period.  The survey takes about 25 minutes. Teachers who have seniors during first period will have all of their seniors take the survey at the same time so you will only be missing students for at most 30 minutes during that time.

The Lance, is doing a feature on seniors and their post-graduation plans. Although Student Services takes an OFFICIAL survey during graduation practice, Lancer Media has created their own survey online. The staff would appreciate it if every senior would take the survey.
