Do you live in Mount Airy, or any of the surrounding areas? Do you want to make your voice heard? If so, come out tonight to the Mount Airy Community Center Task Force’s Youth Forum, where you can provide YOUR input on the creation of a new community and recreation center for the Town! The event starts at 7 p.m. TONIGHT at Town Hall at 110 South Main Street in Downtown Mount Airy. All students are invited to come. See you there!
For all Sophomores and Juniors interested in taking part in an Internship next year…Today is the important meeting during fourth period in room C101. Be sure to get your teacher’s permission before coming to the meeting.
Congratulations to Mrs. Burall and the Animals 101 Club for being acknowledged as the Character Counts Club of the Month. The Animals 101 Club has done several fund raisers this year. The proceeds have been given to various rescues and organizations such as Frederick County Humane Society, Tip Me Frederick/Feral Cat Rescue, The 4H Therapeutic Riding program, Rabies clinics, and several other institutions. Awesome job Animals 101 Club for exemplifying great character, and always caring about our furry friends in need!
If you’re taking an AP test, exam location charts can be found outside the AP office. Please check the chart for exact exam locations prior to your exam date. Students are reminded to arrive 20 minutes prior to the start time of an exam. Please stop by the AP office if you have any questions.
Juniors and Seniors, if you are planning to attend the prom, please have your obligations turned in by Wednesday, May 7, otherwise you will not be admitted into the prom. All students grade 9, and 10 and those not planning to attend prom please have all obligations to Mrs. Roderick by May 23, 2014. All obligations, books, cash, checks, any and all others go to Mrs. Roderick in the front office
The Unified Track & Field team will hold an important practice after school today from 2:30-3:30pm at the stadium in preparation for the state track meet to be held on Tuesday, May 6. Unified team members should be prepared to attend an important TEAM MEETING at 2:30, if outdoor practice is cancelled due to weather conditions. The meeting location will be on Main Street in front of the cafeteria and will last 30 minutes. Please be present!
The Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis team will travel to Urbana today to take on the Hawks. Teachers are to dismiss players at 1:25 p.m. for a 1:45 p.m. departure. Good Luck Lancers!
