On Sunday, April 6, from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm come drive a new Ford vehicle at the Drive 4 UR School event and help us earn up to $6000 for Safe & Sane. This event will take place right here at Linganore High School. It will only take about 15 minutes of your time, and there is no sales pitch.
Also, the Safe and Sane Committee is seeking donations of small items for our graduates to win! Donations up to this point have been minimal. If you have collected items or have items you would like to donate, we will have collection bins at the Drive One 4 UR School event!
The LHS Key Club will sponsor an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, April 8. Appointment times are available from 7:00 AM- 12:30 PM. Blood supplies are very low and they are in need of donors! Students must be 16 years old and can sign-up to donate at all lunch shifts this week. Parents and community members can schedule an appointment by contacting club advisor, Mr. Brown.
This is just a reminder that AP Environmental Science students from semester 1 will have Review Session #9 for the national exam after school today at 2:20 p.m.
Students who took AP English Composition last fall and will be taking the AP Comp Exam on May 9th are encouraged to attend an afternoon review session prior to the exam. For the dates, times, or more information, go to Mr. Tringali’s LHS teacher web page or see Mr.Tringali.
Unfortunately, English HSA Tutoring is cancelled for today. Ms. Cassidy will have tutoring next Tuesday. There will still be Algebra, Biology and Government tutoring after school.
Congratulations to the Boys Tennis team for their win over Walkersville by the score or 3-2. Winning for the Lancers were #1 Singles Harry Rasmussen, #2 Singles Andrew Tran, and #2 Doubles Jimmy Mawdsley and Daniel Gatte. The Girls tennis team however lost a close match by the score of 3-2.The Varsity Tennis teams will travel to Tuscarora today. Players should be on the bus by 2:40 p.m. Good Luck!
Congratulations to the varsity baseball team for their win against Walkersville with a score of 14-4. The girls softball team also beat Walkersville with a score of 8-3. Great job Lancers!
