The French Honor Society is holding its annual French Art Contest in celebration of National French week in November. All students have the opportunity to enter one 2-D work of art inspired by a French artist or art movement. The deadline to submit art is Friday October 31. All entries must be given to Mrs.Blonder in room C229.
Algebra, Biology and English tutoring for the HSA’s will take place tomorrow from 2:30-3:30 in the media center. See you there!
Attention Seniors: The deadline for choosing your senior picture that will appear in the 2015 yearbook is October 8th, otherwise a default will be picked for you. Directions for doing this are in your proof package and can be done directly with Victor O’Neill Studio’s either online or by phone. Please call Victor O’Neill Studios if you have any questions.
Congratulations to Tyson Tregoning, Linganore’s 2015 Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) representative. The HOBY is a youth leadership organization which provides the youth of our country with unique leadership training and focus on making the world a better place. Tyson will be attending the four day HOBY seminar, where he will learn to recognize his leadership talents and how to apply them to make a difference in our school and community! Congratulations Tyson!
Did you know that German immigrants introduced the idea of the Christmas tree to America? The German settlers in Pennsylvania had them in their communities as early as 1747.
The engineering/robotics team will have a meeting right after school until 4:30 in Mr. Bergeron’s room on Wednesday, October 8th. Anyone who is interested in joining the team is encouraged to come.
And now for sports related news…
The girls field hockey team will be traveling to Urbana today for a game. JV starts at5:30pm and Varsity will begin at 7pm. This is sure to be a great hard hitting game. Good luck ladies!
