Do you like to act? Are you interested in criminal law or the legal process? LHS’s mock trial team is in need of two more witnesses for our upcoming trial season. Our case this year is a criminal case based off the events in Ferguson, Missouri last summer and the use of force by police officers. Come out and join our awesome team! On December 20th, the NJROTC rifle team competed in the Cavalier Classic rifle match. The novice team of Paul Hinch, Richard Deuto, Melanie Edgar, and Matthew Dirndorfer took 2nd overall, and Paul Hinch placed 5th out of novice shooters.
Hey, Juniors and seniors! The Class of 2016 has received 48,500 votes for your favorite prom theme! Here are this morning’s results. Neon Splash and Neon Glow are tied with Masquerade for first place. Black and white follows in third place, with Candy Land and Arabian Nights trailing behind in 4th and 5th. You can continue to vote all day today, but the poll will close tonight at 8:00 pm! The winner will be announced here on the morning announcements tomorrow.
Students wishing to join the Science National Honor Society are reminded that their green form with their record of community service hours are due TODAY!

Congratulations to the many that competed in the Dwight Scott Invitational Track and Field Meet at Hagerstown Community College. Adam Beisser got first place in the 55 meter hurdles. Shane Fossett got his personal best in the high jump. Spencer Askine got his personal best in the 3200 meter run, and Nate Smith got his personal best in the shot putt.
