Rachel Peterson and Jenn Berardi have both acknowledged their traits as respect.

This week in the cafeteria, students and staff  have been celebrating others and their own best traits through the Character Counts program. There are six pillars of character: trustworthiness, fairness, citizenship, respect, responsibility, and caring. Within the pillar that best describes them, participants  attach stars.

Ms. Dawn Aburto, the Character Counts coordinator and special education assistant, has been involved with the program for three years. She plans to display the six pillars in the cafeteria for several weeks. Another way she is involved with Character Counts is by acknowledging good character through citations.  Anyone can nominate a student or teacher for a character citation by emailing Aburto at [email protected].
