Are you interested in learning to be a leader or putting your leadership skills to work? You should consider a run for office in the SGA or your Class Council. All current 9th – 11th grade students are eligible to be a candidate in the upcoming April elections. To find our more talk to any current officer or advisor. You can pick up a candidate info packet outside room C103. Deadline for candidate applications is Monday, March 31st.

The LHS Sports Boosters are hosting a restaurant fundraiser at Chipotle in Mt. Airy. Please come out between 5-9 pm, tomorrow, March 26th. Bring a flyer, show it on your smartphone or just simply tell the cashier. 50% of the proceeds will go to the LHS Sports Boosters to help assist all LHS Sports Teams!

Just a reminder to all members of the Unified Track & Field team, paperwork must be turned in by the end of the day today, or those members will not attend the Track & Field meet tomorrow. Practice is currently scheduled for today after school at 2:30pm at the stadium.

Listen up class of 2017! The spirit fundraiser for your class spirit wear is still going on. The sale has been extended to April 2nd, 2014. If you would like to purchase your spirit wear, check out the posters hung around school for how to do so. See Mr. Hines or Ms. Blum if you have any questions.

Penn State Mont Alto will be visiting Linganore, Friday morning at 8:00. If students are interested in visiting, they should see Ms. Riley in student services.
The University of Maryland Young Scholars Program offers a 3-week summer Entrepreneurship program for high school students and a 3-week summer program in Biopharmaceutical Production. See Ms. Radil-Harris or Mr. Brown for more information.

Congratulations to both the Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis teams for their wins over Thomas Johnson on Monday. The Girls won a tough 3-2 match while the Boys swept the Patriots 5-0.

Also, congratulations to the Boys’ Varsity baseball team for beating TJ 16-4. The Girls’ Varsity softball team also won with a score of 21-1. Great job Lancers!
