This is the sixth profile in Lancer Media’s Back to School Series: New Teachers.
Mrs. Chelsea Humphries begins her Linganore experience teaching Geometry and Contemporary Math. Humphries went to Shepherd University for college before she was a long-term sub for Mrs. Desiree Hirschy.
Humphries likes to teach dance, watch football, and hang out with her husband and two children.
Humphries belonged to the athletic crowd in high school because she was a cheerleader. Although she did not only belong to one crowd, there were several other crowds that she belonged to.
“The movie that best describes me would be The Blind Side,” said Humphries. She likes this movie because she is a mom, loves football as well as teaching.
Humphries’ favorite teacher in high school was her Latin teacher, Mrs. Remus, because she was “awesome.”
