Thursday- Class color day, lunch competition
Thursday was class color day. Students participated by wearing their class’ color, winning points for their class.
- 9th grade wore red
- 10th grade wore yellow
- 11th grade wore blue
- 12th grade wore tie dye.
Thursday’s lunch competition was the ‘eat tissues from the box’ contest. One student from each grade at every lunch shift needed to move 200 tissues out of a box. The winning class won points.
Points will accumulate towards the class’ total for Homecoming week. Points are awarded for spirit days and other events throughout the week. The class that accumulates the most points will be awarded the spirit stick on Friday, will be dubbed the most spirited class at LHS, and will win $400 to the class treasury.
Tomorrow is red, black, and bow day. Wear red, black, and bows. Earn a point for wearing red and black, and for every bow that you wear you get another point.
The SGA is sponsoring a PINK OUT for the Homecoming game tomorrow night.
The goal is to have the stands totally in pink. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Lancers want to help. Any pink will do. Attendees are encouraged to be creative and add pink everywhere- including hair, hats, socks, pants, etc. THINK PINK!!
The game has been selected yet again as WHAG-TV’s game of the week.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Linganore High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase camera/recording equipment and software. We hope to raise enough money to re-start a monthly printed issue of our paper.
