Attention all band and color guard students:  Spring trip commitment forms are due on Thursday of this week. All-State audition commitment forms are also due on Thursday of this week.

Members of the Science National Honor Society are reminded of a Community Service Workday at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary on Saturday, October 8, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Directions to the sanctuary are located outside of Mr. Sunkel’s room A139.

Seniors: Today, Student Services will host a College Fair on Main Street during all lunch shifts.  Also, this Friday, September 30, is the final opportunity to have your senior picture taken for the yearbook.   If you’ve missed all the other portrait sessions and need to be photographed, please see Mrs. Shapiro in the front office to confirm your appointment time.

Don’t forget to complete a nomination form for the 2016 Homecoming Court. Forms are available at all lunch shifts!  Voting will start today. Tickets are on sale this week for $22.00.

Seniors: The final deadline for yearbook baby ads is fast approaching.  Please remind mom and dad!  Ads will be accepted through Tuesday, October 4.  Forms are located outside room A206.  See Mrs. Bozzonetti with questions.

Now for sports related news…

Students wishing to purchase pre-sale tickets for the Walkersville away football game should bring $2.00 cash on Thursday, September 29.  Tickets will be available during lunch shifts, Thursday only.  It is recommended that those attending the game should carpool and park in the carnival lot next to the school and enter and transverse the stadium with shirts.

Both JV and Varsity girls’ soccer teams defeated Tuscarora last night. JV won 5-0 and Varsity won 9-1.

The volleyball teams also won over Tuscarora. The JV score was 2-0 and Varsity won 3-0.

Last night, the golf team played at Districts, and came home District Champions! Ryan McFadden took the Individual District Crown with a score of 68.

Tonight, the JV football team will take on Walkersville at 5:30 pm.

And now for “Would You Rather?” Wednesday:  Last week, we asked, “If you could only use one for the rest of your life, would you rather use Twitter or Snapchat?”  Snapchat took the lead with 71% of the poll.  Vote on the LHS Lancer TV for this week’s poll:  “Would you rather be a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger or a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?”
