Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) meets tonight, October 19th, at the FCPS Earth and Space Science Laboratory from 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm. The group is open to all females in grades 9-12 interested in learning about science and engineering careers.

Members of the Science National Honor Society have an opportunity to earn community service hours by participating in Linganore PTSA’s highway cleanup this Saturday, October 22nd.  Volunteers will meet at the New Market Food Lion at 8:00 am.  All volunteers must watch a safety video prior to the cleanup.

“Lancers Make It Happen” will be having a car show this Sunday, October 23rd, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the stadium parking lot!  Prizes will be given to best car, best motorcycle and best truck. The entry fee is $5.00 and there will be catering by In10nse Barbeque.  If you don’t want to participate but are interested in helping, please contact Ms. Servey or Ms. Aburto.

Attention students interested in CTC:  Take the opportunity to shadow two programs of your choice!  Applications are available in the Student Services office. See your counselor for additional information. You are also welcome to see Mrs. Duggan in Student Services regarding your options.

Any girl planning on trying out for basketball this year needs to see Coach Easterday to sign up and get an information sheet.
