The Career and Technology Center has opened shadowing for Carpentry, Electrical, Landscaping, Plumbing, Auto Body, and Culinary Arts. Stop by Student Services to sign-up for a shadow. See your school counselor, if you have any questions.

The next after school AP Psychology review will be this coming Monday. Remember, this test is almost impossible to pass without having attended these after school sessions.

Attention juniors and seniors: Prom tickets will be on sale next week April 18-22, during all lunch shifts. Cost is $35 per person. All financial obligations must be paid before you can purchase tickets to prom.

Attention all first semester AP English Language and Composition students: The AP Comp exam is on Wednesday, May 11. Practice and review sessions will be held after school Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, beginning Wednesday, April 20. For more information, see Mr. Tringali.

Linganore’s “Sound of Music” opens tonight. Come see Linganore’s fantastic interpretation of this amazing musical. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available at www.showtix4u.com.

Are you interested or curious about engineering? Johns Hopkins School of Engineering is holding “Engineering Innovation”, an exciting college level summer program. Students learn to think and problem-solve like engineers and have the opportunity to earn Johns Hopkins University (JHU) credit. The program runs from June 27 – July 22. Congratulations to the Lancer Unified Track and Field team for their fine performance at the track and field meet hosted by Linganore this past Wednesday. Also, a huge thank you for the assistance provided by Coach Eckard and members of his track and field team and Mr. Brown and members from SGA. Without their help and leadership the meet would not have been the success it was. Thank you again to all the Lancers who participated!

Congratulations to the boys’ and girls’ tennis teams who won their matches yesterday against Frederick High School.

The boys’ Varsity lacrosse team won their game against North Hagerstown last night 14-2. Great job, Lancers!

Congratulations to the boys’ baseball team who won their game against Frederick 8-5.

The Varsity softball team won their game against Frederick High School, by a staggering 30 points, with a score of 31-1. Great job, Lancers!

Good luck to the boys’ and girls’ track teams who travel to Oakland Mills to compete today in the Scorpion Classic.
