#NationalSigningDay2022: Aubrey Beale bridges to Bridgewater College to play lacrosse

On February 2, Aubrey Beale signed her National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse for Bridgewater College located in Bridgewater, Virginia. Bridgewater is a Division III school.

“My favorite lacrosse moment is the Linganore team dynamic and how everyone worked together to be the best they possibly can,” Beale said.

Aubrey has been playing lacrosse for four years.

“I have been playing since freshman year, and I fell in love with it [lacrosse] more during the pandemic,” said Beale .

“My favorite memory was the Damascus High School game. It was a really close game and it was senior week and all seniors came and played,” said Aubrey’s mom, Jennifer Beale.

During the pandemic, Beale and her mother took a tour to Bridgewater and she fell in love with the campus. Beale felt that Bridgewater was the best fit for her.

“I like how the campus is small, and all the people are really friendly. I liked how the campus was small so I didn’t feel like I would have to run around campus like some other colleges,” said Beale.

Beale will have her hands full at Bridgewater. She will be double majoring in secondary education and welding while also being on the lacrosse team. After college, Beale would like to still be involved with lacrosse.

“I don’t really want to play lacrosse at a professional level, but I want to be involved with lacrosse for as long as possible,” said Beale.

“The people I admire are my coach(Brooke Wilson), Taylor Cummings and Alex Aust. Wilson me how to play lacrosse and helped me get better in the sport, ” said Aubrey

Cummings is currently a part of the University of Maryland women’s lacrosse team. Aust used to also play for University of Maryland on their lacrosse team but has since graduated.

“Aubrey is a true teammate and displays what it means to chase after that thing you want and go get it,” said Brooke Wilson.
