Worldle: Where in the world is this country?
One of the biggest variations of the Wordle game is Worldle. Worldle adds a geography twist.
The game starts out providing the blank fill in of either a valid country or territory around the world. The country or territory changes each day. The player then proceeds to guess a location to get an understanding of where the country is. A prompt pops up with the correct spelling of countries.
In the image for example, the player’s first guess was Laos, a country in southeast Asia. To the right of the guess, the player is given the distance in their preferred measurements(km or miles) about how far away the pictured country is from their guess. Also provided is a directional arrow pointing to where the pictured country is relative to the player’s guess and a percentage to how close the player is.
Besides the normal game mode, players are able to vary the difficulty by removing the image and only going off of the directional arrow and distance measurements to find that day’s country or territory. Players can also select for the image to be randomly rotated, changing the orientation from the actual geographical orientation. I would bet that you won’t be choosing these variations because regular Worldle is difficult.
This variation has quickly become the most popular spin off games from Wordle. Worldle was created by website developer and game developer teuteuf, who can be found on Twitter(@teuteuf).
