What has been your favorite memory at Linganore?
“My favorite memory at Linganore was probably Homecoming my sophomore year. I went with a bunch of friends and it was the first kind of formal dance I had ever attended. It exceeded my expectations, and that night was some of the most fun I’d ever had. “
What are you going to miss most after graduating?
“I think I’m going to miss some of my teachers the most. I met some amazing teachers at Linganore who truly cared about their students’ success and made the experience that much better. It’ll make me sad to never see some of them again after graduation. “
Do you feel pressure to have your future be decided already?
“I feel a lot of pressure on me to have most of my life figured out at this point, even though in reality, I believe most seniors don’t have things figured out. I’m just trying to go with the flow and figure out things as they come along.”
Best high school memory?
“My favorite memory outside of high school was probably during the summer before my senior year, where a couple of my friends and I hung out, played some games, had some talks, and stayed up way too late hyped up on RedBull. I love my friends, so simple memories like these from over my four years are some of my favorites.”
What is the most challenging task as a senior?
“I believe the most challenging task as a senior is living up to the expectations. You’re expected at this point to have figured out what college you’re going to, what major you’re going to learn, whilst still succeeding in your current classes with senioritis weighing you down. Well, maybe just more so dealing with the senioritis.”
What advice do you have for incoming freshmen?
“For incoming freshmen, the best advice I can give is try new things. DO the extracurriculars, PLAY some sports, JOIN a club, and don’t stress out about school so much. If you don’t try everything you’re interested in, you might regret missing out. I know I have.”
Where do you imagine yourself 10 years from now?
“In 10 years from now, I’m hoping I’ll have graduated college and have a full time job making music for movies and video games. My dream has always been to see my name in the credits of a movie someday, so in 10 years ideally I’ll be closer to that dream.”
What was the most meaningful assignment a teacher ever had you do?
“There have been so many assignments I’ve done that it’s hard to pick which ones were the most meaningful. However, the ones that come to mind were some assignments given in my “Integrated Music Class,” where I was tasked to compose a short music track. The requirements were really easy to complete, but I was so enthusiastic about them I put my full heart and soul into those competitions. Those assignments were some of the best ones I’ve done at Linganore.”
When you look back on this school in later years, what will you remember most?
“When I’ll look back on Linganore, I think I’ll fondly remember all of the influential teachers I met, experiences I’ve had at football games, going to school dances, participating in Jazz Ensemble, and everything else that made my experience so defining. “
