Powdery Russian teacakes

Russian teacakes recipe

  1. 1 cup soft butter
  2. ½ cup sifted confectionery sugar
  3. 1 teaspoon vanilla 
  4. 2 1/4 cups flour
  5. ¼ teaspoon salt
  6. ¾ cup finely chopped pecans

Russian teacakes instructions

  1. Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla thoroughly
  2. Measure flour by dip-level-pour or by sifting
  3. Blend flour and salt then stir in
  4. Mix in pecans
  5. Chill for at least an hour
  6. Heat oven to 400 degrees
  7. Roll into 1 inch balls 
  8. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 
  9. Bake 10-12 minutes
  10. While warm roll into confectioners sugar
  11. Let cool 
  12. Roll in sugar again
