Golden Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Oatmeal raisin cookie recipe
- ¾ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
Oatmeal raisin cookie instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- In a mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ¼ teaspoon salt, and, if desired, cinnamon and cloves
- Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl
- Beat in eggs and vanilla
- Beat in as more than half of the flour
- Stir in remaining flour
- Stir in rolled oats
- Stir in 1 cup raisins
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown
- Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute
- Transfer to a wire rack and let cool
