Class of 2016: Morning announcements staff communicates two days left for seniors
The senior class members of Mr. Greene’s Digital Communications class have recorded their penultimate edition of the morning announcements, counting down two more days of school for seniors.
Despite being excited to attend Towson University this fall, senior Brendan Nolan says that he “will miss all of the friends that [he’s] made over the years.” Nolan plans to major in communications while in college and hopes to find a job in the mass communications field once he’s graduated.
Shawn Hanan has a plan for the future: after high school, he’s going to take a gap year followed by two years at Frederick Community College. After FCC, he plans to attend the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He will major in Sound Engineering and Broadcasting. With a pinch of nostalgia, Hanan said that, “I’m going to miss coming in in the morning, seeing the same friends and being able to get down to work doing something I love.”
Brennan Henyon is planning to take a different route. He will be joining the United States Marine Corps and hopes to become an air wing chief. “I kind of just want to get out of school, so college isn’t for me right now,” he said. “But I do plan on going to college and getting a degree in mechanical engineering or computer science sometime.”
Members of the Digital Communications team provide other Lancers with a personal glimpse at the goings-on of the school with the daily staple that is Lancer TV. Lancers will recall the days when both Brennans served as anchors on the announcements, turning “Good Morning Lancers” into “The Brennan Show” before giving Linganore its daily dose of news.
