With just 33 days of school left, the cheerleaders have twisted, tucked, and tumbled on the Linganore field and gym for the last time.

Seniors Kayla Sheehy, Bri Fay, Elena Guardia, Kayla Harner, Lauren Stutz, Aubrey Naill, Karly Johnson, Mariah Strawley and Michelle Galdamez reflected on their favorite moments on the team.

Karly Johnson, who will be a nursing major at Towson University, and Michelle Galdamez, who will be a business major at West Virginia University, both agreed they’ll dearly miss the Varsity coach, Jan Ingram, who has coached the team for years.

Bri Fay is attending High Point University  in the fall to study exercise science or biology.  She very vividly described that she will miss laughing until her stomach hurt at practice and Friday night lights. Aubrey Naill, who will be studying social work at FCC agreed with Fay 100 percent.

Lauren Stutz, who will be studying special education at FCC, agreed that she will miss the gleam of Friday night lights, as well.

Kayla Sheehy, an enrolled Computer Science major at the University of Maryland, said she will most miss competing with her team. Kayla Harner, who is enrolled at Messiah College to study Applied Athletic Science, agreed with Sheehy.

Unanimously, the girls agreed that their best memory of Lancer cheerleading was being the first team in Frederick county to ever win the regional competition.
