Lancer Kitchen: A Vegan Thanksgiving that will make your non-vegan mouth water
For the vegan population, holidays can be hard because food choices at gatherings are limited or not at all. Tradition has meat and dairy based items at the center of most holiday meals, especially Thanksgiving. For our vegan students trying to celebrate this year, Lancer Kitchen has provided and taste-tested some vegan alternatives to traditional Thanksgiving dishes.
Non-vegan taste tester Kelsey Ward said, “It was very interesting. It was different from what I’m used to eating, but still good.”
“It was satisfying to finally find food that I can eat,” said vegan taste tester Cassie Harris. “It was interesting to hear what other [non-vegans] thought and get their input.”
The dishes tested include seitan turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, biscuits, and pumpkin pie.
Then, your vegan Thanksgiving feast is complete. Enjoy your animal cruelty-free holiday and encourage your family to replace their normal recipes with vegan ones. Not only our they delicious, but also guilt-free.
