The SAT is one of the biggest worries that every high school student thinks about. They think about what score they might get and how it might affect their chances of getting into college.

Each year, Linganore High School allows for students to take the PSAT(Pre-SAT) in which they can benchmark their scores and abilities. The PSAT allows students to prepare for their upcoming SAT by having a more relaxed practice that doesn’t count towards college applications.

Sign ups for the PSAT have opened on September 9. The test will be taking place on Wednesday, October 13 at the high school. The PSAT can be taken by anyone in any grade as it gives experience and preparedness for the SAT. Although freshmen and sophomores are encouraged to take it, it is also important that juniors and seniors take the PSAT because it will help them do better on the SAT and it’s the only time they will be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship.

The PSAT helps pinpoint what students should study in preparation for the SAT that they may take in the future.

The cost for the PSAT is $18.00 and will need to be paid on the registration site.

Register now. As seats for the PSAT are limited.
