The volleyball season has officially started, with a few scrimmages, one game, and one tournament.

Through this teams’ constant communication on and off the court, it is clear that there is exciting potential and passion among the players. After the first few weeks of practices, bonding, and team opportunities, the girls agree that this season could be a great one, filled with success and heart.

Junior Katie Healy is particularly looking forward to what is in store for her team and ready to take on the season’s competition.

“I expect this season to go well. We have great chemistry and had a good record last year.” Out of nine games, last season ended with a record of 5-4.

Despite a tough loss to second in the state Westminster High at the first game (0-3), all of the girls are staying optimistic and training hard. There are thirteen games left for this young team, and only four seniors (Audrey Kilgore, Delaney Ridgell, Danielle Koogle, and Bella Atkins).
