 Lancer Media in the News!

Lancer Media is making headlines again.  This week, the editor team of Erica Blockinger and Rachel McCoy earned the “Site Excellence” badge, our third badge of six that we need to be recognized as a Student Newspapers Online (SNO) Distinguished Site. This impressive achievement required diligent maintenance of the website and significant understanding of design elements.  With this third badge, Lancer Media has moved up to 17th out of 342 participating schools–we are in the top 5% of school newspapers sponsored by this organization.

Meanwhile, it’s not too soon to be thinking about joining our Lancer Media team in 2021-2022.  Whether we are in-person or virtual, the group of students is producing great journalism. We would welcome you into a culture of creativity and teamwork. We have a range of students from 9th to 12th grade.  Take a look at our website, lhslance.org and think about signing up for journalism next year.  Contact Natalie Rebetsky by email or through Schoology if you have any questions.
