Sugar cookie cream
6 tablespoon shortening
6 tablespoon softened butter
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 drops of lemon oil
Sugar cookie flour
2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Sugar cookies instructions
Stir into creamed mixture
Chill for at least 1 hour
Heat oven to 400 degrees
Roll ⅛ inch thick on floured surface
Cut with 3 inch cookie cutter
Place on ungreased baking sheet
Sugar cookie icing recipe
1 cup confectioners sugar
2 teaspoons milk
1 teaspoons light corn syrup
¼ teaspoon almond extract
Assorted food coloring (optional)
Sugar cookie icing instructions
In a small bowl, mix together confectioners sugar and milk until smooth
Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy
If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup
Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity
Dip cookies, or paint them with a brush
