The boys celebrate their 10-0 win over South Hagerstown.

Wednesday, April 24, the boys Varsity Baseball team had a home game against South Hagerstown.

Linganore took the lead in the first inning and didn’t slow down. During the fifth inning Linganore mercy ruled South Hagerstown when the score reached 10 – 0.  Joe Bunker had the game winning hit which put the mercy rule in affect.

Because of the mercy rule the game only went five innings.

There were two doubles hit during the game by Jake Santis and Cruz Cortez.

Ben Moore pitched not phased by the electric offense. “You never go into a game thinking you’ll have your offense score ten runs. You go out there and pitch your game, no matter if it’s a blowout or a close game. ” said Moore. Moore thinks that this is one of the better games in this years season and the team accomplished that with great hitting, pitching, and fielding.

The varsity team now has a record of 9-4 for the 2019 season.

The next game is Friday, April 26 at Urbana High School.
