The Linganore Girls’ Lacrosse team played rival Frederick High School on March 26.

The JV team won with a score of 8-2. The game was very close at half time, but Linganore secured the win by picking up their energy and intensity during the second half of the game.

Sadly, varsity suffered a tough loss with a score of 14-4. The game began with a tight score of 2-3, but Frederick pulled through in the second half and won the game.

Val McNeill, member of the class of 2021 said, “Although our team is new, I am very excited to see what we have in store because we have been working hard in practice and the game is starting to click for the new girls.”

“I am so proud of my team for winning our first game. Every girl put in their all and that’s what really helped us win the game. I think that effort is everything in lacrosse,” said sophomore Ella McCaffrey.

Both teams were very proud of their performance during their first game and are excited for the rest of the season.
