On November 20, students from Mock Trial hung up fliers around the school to collect donations for Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership (CIOPP).

Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership provide support, resources and services for the children who are impacted by the incarceration of a loved one. CIOPP is an all volunteer non profit that has been established for over 16 years.

“I want to donate to these kids because they are less fortunate than I am. I wish I knew about CIOPP before, but I am glad I know now,” said sophomore Hope Hinshaw.

Rho Kappa (the Social Studies honor society) and Mock Trial are collecting: Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion, Deodorant, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Feminine Products. Toilet Paper, Tissues, Diapers, Wipes, Baby Shampoo, and Band-aids.

Donations can be any size and any brand.

Boxes are located in the main office, student services, Mrs. Jamie Hendi’s room (A213), and Mrs. Susan Peterson’s room (C215).

Donations will be collected through December 13.

Mock Trial’s first scrummage is against Governor Thomas Johnson High School on January 2.
