On October 28, the varsity field hockey team had an outstanding victory against the Middletown Knights in their regional semi-finals, 2-0. The game was held at Middletown, which should have proved home-field advantage, but Lancers had victory in mind.

Within the first 10 minutes of the game, Sierra Rossman scored a stunning goal assisted by Avery Robertson. The Lancers played well defensively.

“I think we did a great job on carrying the ball up the field, along with passing and stopping the ball defensively,” said Emma Watkins.

Kayla Freeman scored the second goal.

Overall, the Lancers did an amazing job on both sides of the field. Going into the next stage of regional play, Emma Watkins said,  “We could have improved on our communication.”

On October 30 to watch our Varsity Girls Field Hockey team play in their regional finals at 5:00 p.m. at Oakdale. Last time Linganore played Oakdale they lost in overtime so both of the teams are failey even. To view their full schedule and to find additional information check Frederick County CMC.
