The Social Studies Honor Society, Rho Kappa is now accepting applications until October 1. Please see Ms. Richardson in Room A219 or Mr. Burch for additional information. 

Current Mu Alpha Theta members will be meeting in A132 (Mrs. Weiss’ room) today during PREP. Please make every effort to attend. 

Mu Alpha Theta is starting to accept applications for this year. If you have not already received an application, please stop by Mrs. Weiss / Mrs. Brunnet’s rooms A132 / A134 to pick up an application. Applications are due by September 28. 

The National English Honor Society is accepting applications from Juniors and Seniors. Please go to LinganoreNEHS.weebly.com to complete the application. The application is due no later than September 19 at 3:00 p.m. Bring your printed application to Mrs. Rebetsky in C203. An optional applicant workshop is scheduled for PREP on Monday, September 16 and Tuesday September 17. You only need to attend one PREP session. Mrs. Rebetsky and the NEHS officers will review the application process and the events scheduled for 2019-2020. Sign up outside of Mrs. Rebetsky’s Room C207. The deadline for applying is September 19 at 3:00 p.m. 

Washington College Representative Marc Goldman will be visiting Linganore Monday, September 16 during PREP. If you’re interested in learning more about Washington College please sign-up in Student Services today!! 

Seniors, if you are planning any kind of college or trade school next year, please plan to attend the Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, September 17 at 7:15 p.m. in the auditorium. Hood College will present information about the types of financial aid and how to complete the free application for federal student aid, known as the FAFSA. 

Are you interested in a possible career in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering? Consider applying for the ACE Mentor Program. This group meets in the early evenings 15 times during the school year. To apply, go to acementor.org. Applications are due September 19. 

Attention Junior Class: Stop by the information booth at the club fair TODAY to sign up to be a member of the Junior Class. You must complete the information form in order to be invited to participate in club day activities. Junior class t-shirts will also be available for sale during all lunch shifts. The cost is $10.00. T-shirt order forms and class information sheets are also available from Ms. Davies in room C214 and Mr. Rudderow in room A142.
