On February 4,  the Mr. Linganore contestants attended their first dance rehearsal in the cafeteria. Senior gentlemen and their partners began to prepare for the competition on March 9 by learning a ballroom style of dance, the merengue.

The contestants for the 2019 competition are Dominic Barbagallo, Tre Briscoe, Beau Cameron, Morgan Fink, Matthew Gelhard, Alex Ismael, Ryan Leyh, Ryan McFadden, Ryan Mondenedo, Noah Price, and Charlie Rasmussen.

Mrs. Linda Gouker, a retired FCPS physical education teacher has been teaching dance for Mr. Linganore for more than ten years.

The theme for the 2019 annual event is “A Night of Firsts.”

“I really enjoyed when we put the steps together with the music for the first time. It made a lot more sense,” said senior contestant Alex Ismael.

Come to Uno’s Pizzeria on February 12th or February 20th from 5:30-8:30pm.  Each person who attends, votes for his/her favorite candidate and earns points toward the winner.

See these contestants show off their moves by attending the Mr. Linganore competition on March 9 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets can be purchased in early March or the night of the event.
